Name of song: Missing You
Artist: First Lady
What is about: It's about a girl saying good bye to the one that she has lost and how she is going to move on in life without him. Her beloved!
I just really like this song, for some reason it just really gets to me although I have never lost someone this close to me or for that fact at all. It's just a really good song to listen too and shows how people are this strong willed to go through this and able to make it through life even though this has happened. It shows just how great human beings are and how one can go through so many tragedies in life and still be the nicest person to meet or accomplish so much without letting these things get to you.

NYT Editorial
Since the creation of laws, people with a higher power seem to get special treatment when it comes to following the law. Most get to alter the true meaning of what it says and depending how high on the list you are for having the most power means that you get more lenience on disobeying them or how far you can really mess up the law to cover up one's actions. Torture sessions are not really the big issue here it's how the people that we are supposed to trust in making the right decisions for the people it leads. And the government and the president seem to approve and support of this issue. I'm sure that torture happens in many countries of the world this doesn't make it right, but there's not much that we as citizens have much say in it...all that we can do is riot and say our own personal opinions but these so called leaders of us are really the ones that can make the decision to stop torture here and find some other means of punishing those who have done wrong. There are just way too many double standards in this world today and there needs not to be.
Wangari Maathai's Visit to CWU
She is a brilliant women who is most famous for being the first African American woman to win the Noble Peace Prize in 2004 for helping the world environmentally. She started the Green Belt Movement against deforestation. A womens organization for planting trees to preserve the environment and improve the quality of life. She's a great figure in America for working hard for the world's environmental issues, human rights and democracy on an international scale.
Thoughtful question to ask that would be different from the norm, one that would take time to think about to give a thoughtful response back.
*What was it like to be the first African American to win the noble peace price?

Magazine Ad- What it is to be COOL!!!
For my magazine ad, I found one where three good looking men in nice suits were trying to sell the product of a Schick razor saying that your not cool unless you have one of these.
All the Presidents Men
This movie made me realize that I don't really know much about history as well as I should... I heard of Watergate, but I guess I never payed as much attention in high school as I should of. Also, the power of journalism and what it takes to be a good one and go off of ideas that one could lose their job if wrong or put the whole company in trouble as well and make them not as credible any more. The two men in here did just that and they were right, but the put a lot of effort in the story to make sure that they were right. I liked this movie a lot, at first I thought it was going to be boring because history doesn't really interest me that much, but this movie did!!!
